International Superstar in Contemporary Opera
The Long-Awaited Diva of Opera, Anna Netrebko, Finally Tours to Asia
Anna Netrebko, the Russian operatic soprano and only contemporary diva in the world, is described by Opera News as “the biggest international star the opera world has had since Luciano Pavarotti.” Voice, performing skills and beauty, Anna Netrebko has them all.
Under the guidance of Valery Gergiev, master of conducting in Russia, Anna Netrebko soon becomes a superstar due to her legendary rising, unique charisma at the stage and the eye-opening temperament, and draws great attention from the western countries. She has been invited to perform at Mariinsky Theatre (Russia), Metropolitan Opera (USA), and the Salzburg Festival (Austria), and has worked with such masters as Claudio Abbado. She has been praised by the New York Times as “diva of opera.” For her first ever Asian tour, Anna Netrebko collaborates with the dynamic tenor Yusif Eyvazov, a much sought-after Verdi and Puccini specialist, and the Taipei Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jader Bignamini to present opera arias and duets from the great Italian repertoire.

Anna Netrebko was born in Russia. Since her triumphant Salzburg Festival debut in 2002, Netrebko has gone on to appear with nearly all the world’s great opera companies, including the Metropolitan Opera, London’s Royal Opera House, Milan’s Teatro alla Scala, Vienna State Opera, Paris Opera, and Zurich Opera.
